Ya'll are killing me with with some of these statements. Fif was nearly left for dead after Columbia dropped him, the Dre & Em co-sign helped a lot but I specifically remember when Wanksta dropped that s--- was getting played damm near everywhere you looked. He was gonna be a star one way or another, I think he simply got bored of rapping and lost his hunger right after Curtis.

    Was he aboriginal?

On topic his career hasn't ended at all, obviously he's not what he used to be but he's still very capable of making great music. That feature he did with YG on 'i want a benz' was flames, fif has always sounded smooth as f--- on west coast style production:banderas:

This s--- s----s all over what game put out going at 50 and the Unit... 50 made Game, without Fif there would be no Documentary and Massacre would have been better than GRODT, those 6 cuts Fif gave game are all classic tracks.

    Especially this one

    Banks also killed Game

    Buck f----- that n----- up

With 50 and Kanye, 50 was going againt the whole of Def Jam pretty much. On Tours Kanye was bringing out Jay and everyone else, they were all supporting Kanye >>> 50, who out of 50's camp was supporting 50 >>> Kanye, Em wasn't, Dre wasn't.

Saying his career ended is a pretty big overreaction. He could have handled the Ross situation better, but I don't think that's as big an L as ppl make it out to be. He was slow to adapt & evolve but judging by Kanan it seems like he's caught on. Couple good features, Kanan Reloaded, SKI, and maybe we'll see a 2nd prime from Fif ala Wayne in 09-10.

Far from irrelevant. Straight To The bank, I Get Money were huge hits. Ayo Technology too. Everybody was bumping Straight to the bank in their car in 2007. Curtis wasn't as popular as the first 2 albums for sure, but he was still on top at that time. 2009 is when his popularity really dropped.

    Mike Tyson big cuntry's alias

This is the right answer imo.

Beyond that 50 Cent burned every bridge on the way to the top. He came out guns blazing upwards, went out guns pointed downwards. When everyone got sick of the "beef of the week" he doubled up and beefed two new people every week. 50's gimmick got tiresome and began to overshadow the music.

Rick Ross also has nothing to do with this. When their beef started in 2009 50 was already "irrelevant" or to find a better word, not as popular anymore.

50 Cent lost during the whole Graduatiom-Kanye West debacle.

50, a guy whose entire persona revolved around being a real gangsta who sold bookoo albums got embarrassed and outsold by a Ye, and he was never the same from that point onwards.

That's what 50 is. He is the gimmick rapper.
When they get tiresome or burn out in favor of competition or w/e, he is no longer successful.

his music became stagnant and boring, that's what killed his music career. look at his recent mixtape, he's still hasn't evolved.

you can see he's now trying to stir the pot with Rick Ross again, it's his gimmick. his whole career has been about drama. not one time has it been about the music because he isn't a real artist.

Game did rip apart the the entire G-Unit crew, regardless what people think. that was the beginning of the end for their platinum run. add Jadakiss' and Styles P's whooping they gave to 50 and then you got people choosing sides.

I agree, and I say this as someone who likes 50. Rap needs that bad guy, that character he is. It's fun to watch.

But anyone saying he is anything other than a gimmick is crazy imo.

it was entertaining, but most of the music didn't match up with him. i started to look at him different when he changed up making those commercial tracks. he contradicted himself calling Ja Rule a pop star while he was doing the same thing.
