BISD ended his reign. He had something with Get Up, I Get It In & the War Angel LP but he took too long & Baby By Me was way too left field. That whole album was everywhere, has a few classics but there was no hype & it leaked a month early lmao. He should've dropped it in 2008 he has a lot of good vaulted music from that time

By the time BISD came not many people were into 50 anymore.

Just crazy when you think of how big he was back in the day. In 2005 The Massacre sold like 1.1 million in less than a week. He was all over the place. Everyone in high school were wearing G-Unit shoes or hoodies and bumping Candy Shop lol.

The G-Unit apparel fad was ended by Game, that G-Unot campaign killed the brand

Don't really agree with this statement though, I just think it lost it's popularity like a lot of things do after some time.

Shady apparel was pretty popular during a time too.

Off topic but just remembered when i bought this game when it came out

The memories of Disco Inferno, Piggy Bank and all those hits playing in the backround while i was playing the game.

The soundtrack was part of the game. You had songs that would come on at different times while you were playing. Well, if my memory is correct.

I forget the name of the song, but when i saw a g-unit video where 50 and them was dressed like captain crunch and it was all auto tuned, i knew it was over....

I would argue that 50 himself ruined his career, just through over saturarion. He was signing everyone and it diluted the brand. Olivia, mobb deep, mase, etc.

People got sick of all the wiggers in gunit clothes and moved on....gangsta rap kinda got played out.

If it was Kanye, Wayne or Drake I wouldn't but it's 50 Cent and u cannot deny the fact that if it wasn't for Eminem & Dre, 50 wouldn't be famous anyway.

EDIT: Btw the reason I compared him to Em a lil is because Em was able to succeed after all those years with Recovery which 50 couldn't ever done. Why don't u tell the samethings to those who bring Kanye's name ? Like losing a lil sale competition was the reason of his big downfall.

50 wrote out to rob hoping Eminem would ear the song and sign him,its a song em could have written and 50 knows that.

50 downfall was caused by his producers not being as good as they used to.
while dr dre gave 50 all his detox singles/beats for grodt the other albums didn't have that many great beats and went from worse to worse each releases.

if 50 would pull out a grodt quality album in 2016 ,it would sell, gangsta rap/no gangsta rap.

Lol, why you still on about Eminem? This is a thread about 50 Cent in the music section. Try and leave Eminem's balls outta your mouth for a minute. I swear, reading some of your posts makes me wonder if you don't have down syndrome.

Just looked at your post/like ratio. This actually explains a lot.
