A combination of his own personality (pissed off power players like Iovine & Dr. Dre) and couldn't adjust with the times like Kanye has (I'm sure they would deal with him if he was popping).

Arch Dogg is a little delusional thinking the Game killed 50 Cent

If 50 pissed off Dre, how did he get a rare beat from him on Animal Ambition?

That beat was how old? Probably had legal rights to release it in some form or another.

Mind you this is all speculation. I don't know how the industry works.

But based on the recent moves of Dr. Dre and the music that has been released they were never that close - it was all marketing an image. In the long run, 50 cent crippled what Dr. Dre and Iovine were building so they left his a--- outside in the cold. Relationships are complex and it isn't black or white. It's a combination of events that played out over time with adapting emotions.

s--- they even threw him a bone with TDE artist cosiging his a--- and it couldn't help jump start commercial prospects.

Through and through I still like 50's music.

Terrible or not, it's still a Dre beat, most of the beats that came from the detox sessions weren't done by Dre. For 50 to get an authentic Dre beat unlike everyone else is weird...

i also think his big headed ego caused his decline, when you s--- on other people while you are on top of the rap game eventually people gonna want your downfall. his fall is pretty major if you look at it.

I think it's a combo of factors that ruined 50'a grip on hip hop. Back in 2007, 50 lost some fans from the beef with Game (but he got paid for The Documentary & Doctors Advocate sales so it was a win & loss situation) & I think people paid enough attention to it where they slowly stopped f---ing with 50. Straight To The Bank was the 1st Single for Curtis & it was amazing. Kanye had Stronger & Can't Tell Me Nothing out around the same time though & those caught a lot more attention. Amusement Park was such a garbage song & I Get Money made him come off as the same money bragging s--- talking 50 & people began jumping s--- so he had to put out Ayo Technonolgy as a single fast before people stopped gaf. Ultimately bad marketing for Curtis ended up ruining him & BISD was a LOT worse. He delayed that album for way too long

Time. Being a NY gangster rapper peaked with him. Couldn't adapt to the ringtone rap era. Got rich and lost his hunger.

Being extremely rich and not needing to give a f--- about making great music when everything else he touches turns to gold

50 Cent didn't evolve with the times. Ultimately, that's what caused his huge drop in popularity over the years. His music has remained the same for most of his career. Add to the fact that like most artists the quality of his music after a while started to drop and he wasn't as hungry as he once was.

I still think a lot of the s--- he does nowadays is dope and i always look foward to hearing new 50. I'm sure there are more than a few songs he's released in recent times that would have been a hit if they were released 10 years ago. It's just that most people have moved on and aren't checking his stuff out anymore.

If you're not adapting to current times or innovating you aren't attracting new audiences so all you have are old fans. And after a while some of them move on too. So your popularity just declines.

That's pretty much my theory on why 50's relevancy took such a huge hit over the years.

Really? Just looking at the first line of your post: ''I don't really think 50 had the half of the talent Eminem has''.

    nuff said.
