It's 80%poor and the economy is being ruined by a corrupt government selling out our country to china. The people have no real ideological drive unless it's against the LGBT community lol. America seems more enlightened imo.

I'm not talking about changing the flag of a nation, I'm taking about a group of people changing the icon of their "culture" or "identity" if they don't like the stigma that it carries. Aug 15, 2017 One of the main reasons was that due to the Union making more anti-slavery laws abolishing laws that protected slavery while new states were automatically non slavery states caused the South, along with cultural and economical differences, to secede from the United States. Slavery is essentially the main issue for people, these Confederates were protecting slavery because it was their way of life and that irks many people, especially in this day and age
