Jan 25, 2017 in terms of pure dollars, nfl still has a comfortable lead i'd imagine. in the public consciousness, yeah, i'd say the nba is closing the gap. it's a combination of the nba coming back after its late-2000s competitive lull (where all the stars were aging and lebron was stuck in an outpost); the mounting information about football's dangers; a terrible, terrible nfl regular season and playoffs; and a new crop of young nba stars.
Jan 25, 2017 Think it's mainly Europeans that get upset because you call it Football and call Soccer, Soccer. It's just 20x easier for Americans and Australians to call it Soccer.
