Oct 13, 2015 It was a L for the people who thought he'd outsell Rodeo because Jay Rock doesn't have a huge contract (e.g. like Kendrick) and as a result his album wasn't promoted that much. On another note, TDE managed to somehow f--- up that album release as well; it was quite confusing when it'd drop. They hyped everybody up and then decided to release it two weeks later.

Oct 13, 2015 Sorry but.... I don't think TPAB was a loss. No it did not sell 1 million the first week but... 1. Kendrick Lamar did what his momma asked "gave back.." and "put out somethin his momma and daddy can step to" 2. It sold good in the US and even better overseas 3. It was also somethin for his homies 4. If kendrick Lamar spent almost 2 years making it then I'm pretty sure it was as tweaked as possible to get the best sound. I see TPAB selling way more than 1 million in the future, if he gives the people some more time ... And good shows don't hurt either .
Oct 13, 2015 Awesome label, but they confused the poeple during the last two album releases. TDE is like a huge family (small compared to the big-a--- labels) from what I read in interviews. In the end, they do a lot of stuff right, but who's perfect? Everybody makes mistakes.
