Jul 28, 2021 Just started playing Horizon: Before Dawn. Considering how much I love Unchartered, Time Raider, God of War etc I'm genuinely surprised I never found this game before. And still only found it because I'm looking for games that are actually specifically for the PS5 and the newest Horizon looks like my type of game. Slow start so far but I'm not quite in the mood to play games right now. And it always takes me a bit of time to force myself into a new game but when I get stuck into the story there's no getting me out of it!
Aug 5, 2021 Started NEO: The World Ends with You, which is the successor of one of the greatest Nintendo DS games The World Ends With You. Absolutely loving it so far! It's a SQUARE ENIX exclusive and the visual style reminds me of Kingdom Hearts (the characters of the first game even made an appearance in Kingdom Hearts:3D). @jankland maybe that's something for you since you mentioned KH in the other thread?
Aug 5, 2021 I've never even beat a kingdom hearts game I really got to get on that lmao but I've heard very good things about the first TWEWY and I've wanted to check it out so it's nice to hear that this one is good as well! Speaking of Square Enix though I'm so f---ing excited for Final Fantasy XVI
Aug 5, 2021 Wouldn't call it Hack n Slash. Basically you're able to spot enemies in the overworld and when you run into them the fight starts in a seperate arena with boundaries. You can assign a shitload of Pins to the characters giving them different moves. Button mashing doesn't really work since the attacks have to reload after some time. Every party member has a different attack button assigned so you can attack simultaneously but always have to check the reload and adapt to the enemies and their weaknesses. The fights become really strategic and less mashy imo.
Aug 5, 2021 KH games are great even though they have the most corniest dialogue I've ever seen. Only KH game I didn't beat was KH3. I just couldn't finish it because I never watched those new animated disney movies like Frozen and Tangled. Their worlds didn't do anything for me. Every other game is great though. I think FFXIV will be colossal, can't wait either.
Aug 8, 2021 Finished my second play through of The Last of Us 2. Truly some of the best, smoothest gameplay instances ever. Anybody’s gripe with this game should be strictly narrative based. It’s a masterpiece gameplay-wise
Aug 8, 2021 I played the first one and the story was great, but the gameplay was the same thing over and over. Hiding from the clickers. It wasn't something I wanted to replay. Is the 2nd the same?
Aug 8, 2021 It is though. £20 for a whole years sub and you can play fully about 30+ games. Just not the most recent sports games.
