Mar 2, 2021 Been playing a lot of Rocket League lately. First foray, enjoying it. Picked up No Man's Sky too after hearing great things with their free updates. It's pretty overwhelming at times trying to learn everything.
Mar 4, 2021 Just finished Ghosts Of Tsushima. such a fun game and was a good change of pace after completing RDR2 for the second time. You really appreciate little things like a horse that spawns beside you no matter where you are or fast travel to anywhere.
Mar 4, 2021 rdr1. I've only played about 3 hours but the gameplay's pretty good. The story is a little too slow for my liking however. Maybe I just need to play it more first but that's how I feel about it so far.
Mar 15, 2021 Just completed (and got the plat trophy) Dragon Quest XIs. Fun game for the most part and I liked how it incorporated post game into actual story. Although could be very misleading if you stopped playing at the first "fin". Last couple of trophies were a slog but when I'm at c.85% of a competed list I feel compelled to carry on, even if I'm not enjoying it as much. Oh well, it's another plat to add to the list. Next up I've got God of War and Witcher 3 loaded and ready. Question is, which one do I play next? I've got roughly 2 months left of not working, providing pubs in England are allowed to reopen on the 17th May as we've been told so far. God of War is roughly 30hrs, Witcher 3 is 90+ hours. I'm worried that when I go back to work I won't have time to play so whatever I'm playing I need to complete before mid-May. Anyway, thoughts?
Mar 15, 2021 Both are 10/10 games but I would go with GOW first. I’ve just started playing Control as it was free on psn last month, s----s fire so far. Pretty much finished with Assassins Creed Origins although I haven’t finished the last dlc yet. Think I’ve got bored with it. Clocked up 140 hours playing time so that explains the boredom.
Mar 15, 2021 Appreciate the input man, thanks. I've started with GoW so let's see how that goes. My backlog is still huge but I do like that as long as you've got an active PS+ sub and you click buy (or whatever it is) on each months game then you can play it whenever. Control is on my list but it's time I spent some time with 1 or 2 proper AAA games.
Mar 25, 2021 GoW completed. Weird that all the side quests seem like they will take longer than the actual story. Story was A+ bit I feel like I'm just going to grind unnecessarily for trophies now. So...do I continue the side stuff on GoW or so I start Witcher 3?
Mar 26, 2021 W3 for sure. Unless you really want the trophies, there’s not a ton of content in GoW after you beat it. It’s basically just fighting the remaining Valkyries or starting new game plus.
Mar 26, 2021 I've still got all the favours to do, all the artifacts to collect, upgrade both weapons to max and explore the other 2 realms. So quite a lot really! But everything just seems a bit tedious now that the story is over. I like trying to get platinum trophies (especially when they aren't linked to hard or hard+ completions). I'm really looking forward to Witcher 3 though. I dunno, I'll prob give GoW another day or 2 to see if I can chip through a few trophies quickly. If I get to about 80% in the next couple of days then I'll prob commit to getting 100%.
Mar 26, 2021 I’ve been playing Snowrunner lately. It’s an off-road trucking sim. Not really my kind of game but I’ve been enjoying the f--- out of it. Takes like an hour or more to do some contracts, slogging a freight truck through mud or snow, having to winch out if you’re stuck, use a crane if you lost your cargo, etc. it’s pretty relaxing, and a nice change of pace.
Mar 26, 2021 Arkham City. The graphics definitely aren't the best (playing the 360 version) but the gameplay's pretty good.
Mar 26, 2021 I played the Batman games for the first time just year. Arkham Knight was my favourite just because it was the same great gameplay but with great graphics as well.
Mar 26, 2021 I’m rebuilding the 2014 Oakland Raiders in Madden 15. Bought Madden 19 on sale awhile back but the gameplay is a--- now. Beat New Vegas again also.
Mar 26, 2021 Oh very cool! Yea that makes sense. I accidentally did most of that stuff during my play through (artifacts, favors, and the 2 optional realms) so when the credits rolled, it just wasn’t fun for me to backtrack and do the remaining 5% I missed. At the very least, you should definitely check out those 2 optional realms. If they interest you, you could probably get at least a few more hours out of the game in those 2 areas alone. I can’t wait for the sequel though. Game is pretty f---ing awesome, I can only imagine what the sequel is gonna be like. They 100% nailed the presentation and how to tell and engaging story. Hopefully we get the sequel by end of next year.
