what's a good laptop for a first year college student.

    all depends on what your intended use of it would be. things to consider are like battery life, graphics card and ram.

    use this site http://www.logicalincrements.com/laptop though for a good idea on some good laptops. just buy one dependant on your price range/how good you want it to be.

    A cheap one. In case you can't hack it and drop out.

    If you make it to the 2nd year invest in a Macbook or a Surface.

    If that's all your budget can afford, it'll work

    Just don't plan on doing any video editing or heavy duty work on it cuz it'll s---
