It's s---. I don't care if it's Avant Garde, it's just s---. nobody watches it and enjoys it and maybe that's the charm of it, i don't know. It's boring, the soundtrack is nauseating and there's no constant theme - it's mainly just weird s--- thrown together so pretentious underground fa----s can circlejerk the meaning of it. David Lynch literally threw s--- together, got $$ for it, and is now sitting back like "ha ha bunch of weird drugged out c---- are trying to justify the piece of s--- i made ha haAAAAAAAAA!"

Lynch is a G, but Eraserhead is s--- and anyone who says otherwise suffers from a mental illness.

Nah fam, I saw one Interpretation of it that made a lot of sense to me. About how the whole movie is his fear of being a father after accidentally knocking his girl up. The movie itself kept me p interested trying to figure out what was going on

It's a movie about the fear of commitment and the stress of being a father for the first time

It's one of those movies that you will think about for the next couple of days after watching it. I'm scared to think what lynch had to inject himself to come up with an idea like this but I was very impressed with the final effect. Hands down one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen.

At first I just thought the movie was about the man with the levers being an alien and infecting henry with some thing that made his baby come out like an alien but then too much weird s--- happened and my theory went out the window

It's a story about Lynch's apprehensions in dealing with his newborn daughter and being a husband/father. Can't believe he made it for 10k.

The legend is he used a rabit or lamb fetus. He used recordings of his baby daughter in the film as well.

I have to co-sign what others have already said above regarding the movie's central themes of loneliness and fears of fatherhood. Eraserhead is definitely an all-timer for me. Kubrick was noted to be a huge fan as well.

I find Lynch's Inland Empire to be far more inscrutable and even more daunting at twice the length of Eraserhead.
