Nov 2, 2016 I don't have any jerseys autographed but I do have a Football autographed by McNabb, Dawkins, Westbrook, Jon Runyan, and a few other Eagles players from the 2006 team. They held this charity event where the Eagles played a Basketball game against the local town all-stars team. After watching that, I feel like some of these guys chose the wrong sport and should have been playing basketball. That's where I got the ball signed.
Nov 2, 2016 ea sports use (they might still do it nowadays, i'm not sure) to hold a madden tournament (called the madden challenge) of about 500 people per city. anyone 18 or older could play in it and it was just 10 bucks to enter. but only ONE person per city could win. there were tournaments in 32 different cities. so you had a total of 32 winners out of thousands who tried to win i participated in the madden challenge in 2004 in green bay, wisconsin. the tournament was held at lambeau field, where the packers play. so they had all these playstation 2 consoles set up in the atrium of lambeau field and it was basically a madden tournament (single elimination, 3 min quarters) that lasted for several hours until it got down to the last 2 people. when i entered this tournament, the thought of actually winning it NEVER crossed my mind. i played in it simply because i love to play madden and compete against other individuals. it's very fun to me. at the time, i didn't even have a license, but i went with a buddy of mine who i use to play madden with and him and i drove up to green bay. i ended up doing very well in the tournament and won the entire thing and i got a free 3 day trip to las vegas to compete for 50 grand. i didn't win the 50 grand, but just the fact that i made it that far was impressive because only 32 people made it out of thousands who tried the best part is i was wearing a vikings jersey (can't remember which one) when i won the tournament and i used the vikings for each and every game i won (which was like 13 straight games) everyone who won in a city got this:
Nov 2, 2016 i only get jerseys of players who will very likely be on the team for a long time. that's why i didn't get favre. in my opinion, 100 bucks for a jersey is a lot of money. and that's just for the screen printed (i prefer stitched) ones. so therefore, i'm not gonna pay that kind of money for a guy who could be off the team after a few seasons. this is why i never buy jerseys of rookies. i always wait to see if they can be consistent........because if a player is really good.........hes gonna play the majority of his career with one team. there are exceptions to that, but for the most part its true i don't have it anymore, but i actually did use to have a culpepper jersey. however it somehow got misplaced/lost i love sports in general, but the vikings are the only team i'm a die-hard fan of.........so that's why the vast majority of my jerseys are vikings jerseys
