Jun 11, 2016 I wonder what Wayne has to say about that The guys s----s himself to ensure that em doesn't take offense, in between him begging him for a collaboration, real top ten material. now for how the verses sound In no love, Wayne had a bit more meaning in his and had better flow, but em scores point's for having the best two lines on the song "They call me a freak cuz i like to , spit on these p-----s fore i eat em man get these black cocksuckers off stage, where the f--- is kanye when you need em" Overall wayne had a better verse, not surprising since in 2011 wayne dropped carter 4 and em was coming off recovery. but no excuses Drop the world, its a slow beat and definitely not em's type of track, it does however suit Wayne perfectly and he ends up having the better flow. As for the depth and Meaning i think em started off decent, but went off on a tangent, and wayne's first verse was gospel So wayne had a better verse there. I completely agree that he had better verses in those two songs As for forever, wayne's verse was a little interesting and had some good wordplay, but was largely forgettable. As for Eminem, dissing the other 3 on the track, making kanye rewrite his verse, and overall having more bars than wayne. He also had more meaning. Eminem actually rapped with purpose in that song (he was announcing his comeback). So yeah, wayne won on the 2 2010 songs and em was the king in the 2009 song. Puts some perspective into the Relapse vs Recovery argument (relapse is better)
Jun 11, 2016 this is obviously not an 'who's better overall' argument, because 'till i colapse' has 3 l's in the name that says em is better.
Jun 11, 2016 Lol his verse on Forever was nothing like relapse, in fact it was a lot more like his verses on Recovery.
Jun 12, 2016 yeah, what im saying is that he was a better rapper then, but somehow he fell even further to recovery Eminem is the only artist i know where him 'falling off" has him winning 3 grammies
Jun 12, 2016 you think em after hiatus is as popular as Jay? who deserved them over him, definitely not BTI at least
Jun 12, 2016 to everyone i know in real life Eminem killed Wayne on all of those songs and it's never debated tho
Jun 12, 2016 He's right. I felt like Wayne phoned it in on his verse, but like I said "Life is like a f---in roller coaster then it drops But what should I scream for, this is my theme park" Was the best spot of the song. Eminem's verse isn't spectacular either, but the buzz/overdose line and slappin their face with a bass so loud that it shakes the place, were highlights. Plus it's one of the very rare times, since Eminem came back, that he sounds normal and doesn't say some overly f---ing corny line. I also liked how Eminem said "Payback mothafucker for the way you got at me" too. I could feel that line. He didn't use fake emotion at that part and delivered it well. In saying all of that though, I just listened to the song again, and Drake bodied this song. I don't think it's even close, either.
Jun 12, 2016 Drop The World and No Love were clear wins by Wayne, to me. He has so many quotables in those songs. Plus, I loved Wayne's delivery in Drop The World, it was perfect. Eminem started forcing punchlines and they came off extremely corny.
Jun 12, 2016 Of course it does since it is awarded to international artists But either way, Eminem is still more popular than Jay Z
Jun 12, 2016 I love every artist who has a passion that motivates them to go harder than the people they're collaborating with... It's a beautiful thing. But I really love that this term is now defined as "Renegading" lol. Em really made a statement on that track, in several ways. For one, he killed Jay with 3 or 4 year old verses without touching them up at all. You'd figure Jay would've taken advantage of that situation.
