    I’m going to say that Kendrick Lamar is a better artist in almost every conceivable way besides making a song I want to listen to as much as skybox or top off by gunna and because of that gunna>Kendrick

    I was a Kendrick fan from OD up until post gkmc where (this is going to sound bad) he got too big He was everywhere and it got annoying to me. Happy for him, but every white aeropostal kid in school who used to joke on me for listening to hip hop my whole life suddenly had the audacity to tell me that Kendrick was the best rapper ever. Kind of soured me on him from there on out.
    He’s good and makes good songs and I’ve listened to all his projects but there’s just things I’d rather listen to, so I do

    As an european that first part doesn't apply to me. Only rap fans know who he is here, some heard him on that sia song or another feature but thats it.

    I dont want to discredit him as a rapper because I do think he is a great rapper. His music just doesn't appeal to me. His voice is also an aspect of that. I do enjoy GKMC a lot though and d--- was cool but I dont listen to him that much except a few songs (like Deep Water) he was really good on.

    Here's some sort of hot takes I have:
    1. Stillmatic and It Was Written are both superior to Illmatic in terms of concepts and songwriting, although Illmatic has better multi-syllabic rhyming and impact
    2. Kendrick is the GOAT of this generation but he got outshined on his own songs by all of his guests on GKMC, including Drake.
    3. Tha Carter 3 is better and more of a classic than the first two Carters
    4. Ghostface Killah is the most consistent rapper of the 21st century, followed closely by Freddie Gibbs.
    5. 60 Second Assassins > Worldwide Choppers
