May 23, 2015 Nah, A LOT of people disliked it when it first came out. Mostly for trying to live up to Kanye's Workout Plan.
May 23, 2015 I didn't care for BS (veeeery forgettable / mediocre) but I play Rich N***** from time to time, I really liked the beat and it's a chill song.
May 23, 2015 This was his breakout single though. The purists disliked it. But it got him to the mainstream.
May 23, 2015 It's pretty obvious which group I am speaking for. Not to mention Lights Please and In The Morning were pretty huge songs despite not being Billboard hits. Who Dat had flopped and Work Out got a lot of criticism from the "purists". I like it though. Probably more than The New Workout Plan tbh.
May 27, 2015 Note To Self is not a bad track Let Nas Down is the bests track on Born Sinner Workout is great Hello is underrated
May 27, 2015 Cole is not a good producer, he just knows how to ride the beats to his own songs and makes it work. :sean:
May 27, 2015 d---... you got the sean face to work.. I typed it in wrong. BUT IDGAF I aint changing it haha! I still think FNL is just saying...
May 27, 2015 Is him NOT being boring an unpopular opinion? I think the fact that Cole tries to "play the game" is his gift and his curse. He has a broader fanbase because of it, but this makes his music very accessible to extreme opposite type of rap fans who may not be very open to s--- that doesn't fit what they like. Ie. backpackers that hate anything that isnt real hip hop and mainstream dudes that think anything that wouldn't get live at a club is boring.
Jun 1, 2015 Born Sinner is indeed great. The most solid concept of an album I ever heard. I would dare say musical perfection. I enjoyed it from start to finish and it's farther from 'forgettable' to me. Plus...Truly Yours 3 (special edition bonus tracks) were fire as as s--- to me. Miss America? Is She Gon Pop? Bruh...
Jun 2, 2015 I couldnt get into his last album to be honest, i loved the first 3 or 4 songs, but aftet that i couldnt endure his singing that is god awful (even though he can sing great at times, but this isnt one of those times). I can understand the hype over the album.. i love how it was released & things, but i was left disappointed.. Ive been rocking with him since The Warm Up, so i consider myself a big fan of him (even though i never really mention it).. he is capable of so much more, i remember when Friday Night Lights dropped & i fell in love instantly, i was hoping i could say the same about his last album. Friday Night Lights > The Warm Up > Cole World > Bord Sinner > Truly Yours 1,2 & 3 > The Come Up > 2014 FHD The Come Up contained the best song he as ever made, ''Lil n-----'' His singing on that was perfect & the rapping was on point... i wish it got an untagged release.
Jun 2, 2015 negative unpopular opinion I kind of cringe when cole goes anti white in some of his songs
Jun 4, 2015 everyone in here seems to like Hello so i guess im the unpopular opinion when i think its one of the worst songs off FHD. also yeah i dont get how everyone says he's boring? maybe its just for jokes on twitter but i dont hear the opposite often.
Jun 7, 2015 Though Born Sinner was a great album, i listen to this more, because this is the cole i fell in love with when i was 14 back in 09. The unpolished style that i could relate to & stanned like f---. I combined the 3 Truly Yours. I called it ''Truly Yours: The Born Sinner Sessions''. Props whoever made the cover. Tracklist: 1.
