Aug 4, 2015 I don't mind the randomness of the lyrics. I'm pretty sure he said his intention was to make it like those random freestyles where you just rhyme heaps of random s--- for fun. The fact the flow and accent are normal on the song made me love it though.

Aug 4, 2015 Your a f---ing douche. Lol, its not only about lyrics. Sometimes the way a lyric is delivered can change ones perception and how it is recieved. Undergrounds delivery is absolutely horrendous. Therefore, any lyric in the song comes off as sounding like s---. An artist can have terrible lyrics but still make them sound good if delivered in the right manner. If the song is painful on the ears, no amount of decent lyrics can possibly save it. Not very difficult to comprehend. Underground happens to have both bad lyrics and bad delivery = s--- song. His delivery in the early days was spot on which is why he got a pass for his lyrics. Its how you say something, not what you say.

Maybe you should go re-listen to it becuase your ears are completely f-----. The only songs that kind of come close since are The Warning, Untitled, and Baby from MMLP2.
Aug 5, 2015 WAY worse. Are you f---ing kidding me? This song was full of shallow struggle shock lines. Ems currenf style is getting way too much hate. Hes been the best lyrically that hess been in over a decade. The only thing I agree with you with is that if Em dropped Underground in 2001 people would be sucking it off now. But a lot of people are blinded by nostalgia, we're all guilty of it to a degree.
Aug 5, 2015 Em's new s--- now can be as lyrical as he wants, it sounds like pure a---. His music has no rhythm, which results in people saying it sucks, lacks replay value, and has no music value. There are plenty of rappers that are just as lyrical as Eminem. The problem is, they can flow too. They can ride a f---ing beat. It's not even about the quality of the beat itself, it's the fact that he simply cannot rap over a beat anymore. (well, I think he makes a conscious effort to try new s--- and in result it sounds awful) he has said some great lines that sound like s--- becuase of his awful flow
Aug 5, 2015 If flow was that substantially important Relapse would be getting critical acclaim right now. Why do you think its not? Why do you think some people including me to a degree hate on Recovery? Because at the end of the day its still rap and its still about bars, and "this prosthetic arm is crushing my hard taco!" Or -insert corny Recovery punchline here- cant be excused by a wet flow. Obviously flow is important, but the current flow hes using doesnt overshadow his bars. The stop and start flow didnt even start getting excessive until Shady XV (though the bars on XV were fantastic). Name five truly awful flow songs on MMLP2. Ems punchlines arent nearly as forced now, his shock value rhymes feel way more natural than they did before and even his topic matter is better to me. Way more brutally honest and introspective lyrics when he tries to be. And this is coming from a guy who enjoys Relapse.
Aug 5, 2015 Relapse was s--- on because of it's accents. If he flowed like And yes, his current flow overshadows his bars. Big time. I like MMLP2. But do the songs compare to any song he uses his old flow with? no. And it's not because he is lyrics are worse. it's 100% because of his flow.
