you don't give him any credit by saying that every Kanye album except Graduation is better than every Pac album. that's just nonsense. you immediately expose your bias right there.

me against the world & makaveli were crafted perfectly. they are just as much "art" as Kanye's.

I liked it for what it was... but I never listened to it again because as I said before... I don't like pac. There's no amount of exploring that'll change that.

hmm. all eyez on me shouldnt be a dbl album most likely -- but its hard to deny the skill. the album feels like it could still come out today.

im white, very white, so on some level it just doesnt click with me. but a song like no more pain is terrific -- both artists are sooo different and yet, you rly cant overstate the effortless talent pac put into his music. kanye sets out to make art - pac does too just without the same intentionality

but swizz isn't saying its his TASTE that makes him somewhat dismissive of pac's albums, its how they were actually constrcuted. the features, filler, and what not.

No I'm nowhere near as biased as he is because at least I can see how someone would rate LR/CD (or even MBDTF as a stretch) close to Pac's best work. That's a good opinion, but I can't agree with Swizz's opinion of Kanye's discography just blowing away Pac's. That's just complete and utter nonsense, Pac has plenty of great albums.

The filler thing is bs. Makaveli doesn't have any filler on it. Every song serves a purpose, the whole album has great atmospheric production on it. For example Swizz is dismissive of White Manz World but that song is great in itself, has really smooth production and a nice meaning. Me Against The World maybe has 1 song that could be considered filler in Can U Get Away, but even that song is good. All Eyez On Me could maybe be cut down but it's a great album also, and I only think there's a couple tracks that should've been cut like Whats ya phone #.

The features were also great on most of his albums. I enjoy Outlaws' verses in general, espescially Fatal & Yaki Kadafi. So yeah I don't think Kanye's albums are any better because they are constructed differently. Makaveli and MATW flow perfectly.

I don't really care, I will never like that album, even if it served as a pioneer for things to come. and again, I can't agree with you that 808s/Yeezus is better than any Pac album. That's a pathetic opinion.

I don't listen to 2pac so I can't really comment on any of this

But I did notice that you basically agreed with swizz's statment for 3/5 albums, just not yeezus or 808s (his most polarizing releases)

Swizz also never said it blows pac's discog away just that almost ever Kanye album is better /shrug

no I don't really agree with the idea that CD/LR/MBDTF are better than Pac's albums but I can understand where they are coming from. To me, it's blasphemous to say that yeezus/808s are better than Pac's best work. that's just me though.
