Yep. Travis is not technically good. He makes music that still sounds good to a lot of ppl regardless of your or mine personal stance. And while he has definitely bit people before, it isn't a huge part of his career like it's made out to be. In fact, barring antidote, it's like his worst 5 songs that are entirely unoriginal.

I still don't get your point about other songs in hip hop having sounded akin to I can tell before... Are you telling me you exclusively listen to music thats only been done once ever? How do you even go about forming a library of that, do you just constantly listen to older music and if you hear something similar "whelp time to delete the newer song off my library and exclusively listen to this!"???

People don't hate Travis just because he's a "biter." That's just an accusation you like to fixate on because you feel as if you have rebuttals.

Travis is a bad rapper, with no voice/ or discernibly gripping story/or interesting narrative. That combined with his knack for shang tsung-ing anyone he works with, makes him a boring artist not worth any real discussion

But yeah some of his songs sound cool tho

Yeah because u thinking biting = taking a song note for note when that's just not true. There're levels to it, and Travis is an offender on every level to some extent. Plus he's a bad rapper. Therefore he sucks. For the most part.

Idk what an apologist means but I will say this: rodeo is my favorite album this year even tho I know, technically, it offers nothing. It is just a matter of him making music that appeals to me. That's all I've said about any of his projects, that's my true opinion, and that's why I never engaged in these pointless debates until you specifically told me to, which months later ended up with us saying the same thing, only in a way that drains my phone battery much more. I'm going to enjoy rodeo just as I've been enjoying it and all of Travis' projects since 2013, entirely aware of his significant technical shortcomings

I feel a different type of way when I listen to Travis than when I feel when I listen to Kanye, Cudi, Swae Lee, or anyone else.
That change in feels is why, to me, Travis isn't a biter.
