Travis isn't the original genius ktt makes him out to be, but he isn't the shameless biting rat bloggers make him out to be either

Tbh I think he's underdeveloped, he has potential to become a really good unique artist, but he's what happens when you take a sound cloud rapper with half fleshed out ideas and give him major label backing, he often relies on his influences instead of those strokes of originality that peppered his earlier work. I think, or rather hope, that in due time he'll outgrow that crutch and become his own artist, but for now I'm fine with 70% Travis and 30% Travis tying to be x rapper

well the intro to pornography is literally biting stankonia



and a lot of travis's shtick, including oh my (if ur refeering to the 1st half of oh my dis side) is legit just kid cudi emulation.

travis's contribution is adding more reverb. and then letting other producers add slightly more interesting bits like the ending of pornography and that static-y breakdown

Proving my point, a few of his songs every project sound like another style, but he does it justice (piss on your grave AND 3500>>>) and then he has songs like I Can Tell which, let me be clear, I don't think are some revolutionary tracks that are doing new things for hip hop, there just aren't songs that sound exactly like it

What I'm saying is there are only a few songs where the entire song is offensive/notable/whatever adjective you decide to label it

There was 16 Chapels, s--- on You, Dis Side, Antidote, and like 3 or 4 more. I'm going to use the "thug only has 100 trap songs because he has 300 songs total" excuse and say Travis has 50-60 songs and less than 10 are outright jocking.

We can debate the songs that contain similar elements to other rappers and how "offensive" that is to bloggers and how that relates to my claims of him essentially being a sound cloud rapper thrust into the mainstream, but the fact is the amount of songs with clear biting are barely enough to fit an EP, much less to justify casting judgement on his entire musical career over

TLDR Travis does bite but not as much as yall make it out to be, and even when he bites he does it just as good as the original (antidote is up 5 rae sremm, s--- on you is better than half of cudis discog-- the first half even)

lmfao the entire way i can tell is delivered is future/thug/atl emulation. i was just purposefully reaching with that one comment about him saying "dont make me come over there" (which, by the way, IS exactly the same line, word for word, and inflection/delivery as thug from "air it out" but anyways).

he LITERALLY just adds 300% more reverb to it. thats it.

but to you its something that "hasn't been done before in its form" ever before

I'm going to say with 100% honesty that I don't think being a decent singer using auto tune makes you similar to future or thug

He doesn't use a similar inflection to fewch or thug the entire song except for that one line, you're honestly simultaneously underrsting Travis and overrating thug if you think I can tell is one massive thugger knockoff.
