You're painting a straw man. I'm not saying a number reflects quality, but it certainly reflects what critics have to say about the project. And unless I'm mistaken, you haven't written a full review of the album yet. Are your corporate masters silencing you?

In fact, all I've heard is an abundance of terrible arguments from you since March about this album.

My last post already won me this debate, so you continuing to spout sheer nonsense is more telling of your lack of a filter than anything else.

i've made exactly one argument about the album--one that a bunch of posters have come around to, and one that was kind of the underlying point of that complex piece that caused all the discussion. i was right from the jump.

also, collecting numbers is not collecting "what critics say about the album." it's collecting numbers.

Well when it sits at a 96 or whatever it sits at, it's pretty clear what the critics are saying.

And what point are you even trying to make here? Your posts have become devoid of arguments, and now just personal attacks. If your argument is "Complex opinions cant be accurately represented by just a number", you're right. But if you're trying to say that all of these critics are making terrible arguments and your opinion on the album, that still hasn't actually been turned into a full review, is better than you couldn't be more wrong.

The majority can obviously be wrong, however, the minority has to put forward solid reason, and you clearly have not. I disagree with @Narsh, but at least he's saying something.

my point is that To p---- a Butterfly was not the best rap album made this year; a secondary point to that is taking the average of every critics' poll is not convincing or interesting. my argument is one that i made in march that i still stand by. the fact that you haven't read it is completely secondary. as you said, you don't read this website much. (this is where i'd make a joke about you never reading a book in your private life, but i'll refrain.)

But yeah, its well deserved... like that newspaper Denverpost said, the album is twice as good as the second best album this year... That's why it wasn't a contest for Kendrick.
