you think Floyd is gonna price himself out again? Rumor has it he wants 2/3s of the revenue or else he wont fight Packy

I think 2/3 is more than fair. Manny needs this fight(financially) so much more than Floyd it's not even funny. Mayweather/Maidana ll PPV was pretty poor if I remember and it did like 800K. Paq's last fight on the other hand just did 300K on PPV and given his current tax problems 1/3 of this fight(with back end PPV revenue) will be more than anything else out there for him. I don't see him turning it down over that split. I think the one and only thing that can f--- this fight up is Bob Arum. We'll see though. I'm cautiously optimistic but I'm also not holding my breath.

everything that you're saying is true, but it still shouldn't be that much of a difference. While Packy is more desperate for the fight, Floyd is also. Floyd cant make this kind of money anywhere else except against Packy, so i think it should be something more like 60:40?

Pac's last PPV did poorly because of his opponent, nobody knows who Algieri is

I think 60:40 would be fair but I still believe he is in the position to call the shots. Paquiao is a great fighter and by no means am I a hater but he's had two losses and has been reduced to fighting nobodys like Algieri. Floyd still has Cotto ll which would be pretty big and a Canelo ll would also draw big ratings. So I mean I disagree with you saying that Floyd is desperate for this fight(because if he was the fight would be a done deal already) but at the same time I'll admit he BADLY needs this fight to happen for his legacy. If he fights Amir Kahn or some bs come May his undefeated record will mean nothing and that's coming from a Floyd Stan. If the fight does not happen this time it's clear that he is ducking Pac right now. I still predict they're going to announce Paq/Mayweather are scheduled for fights in both May and September of next year. I think they'll fight twice. That's my prediction at least.

Edit- Sorry for hijacking this thread however if the fight does happen I'm ABSOLUTELY calling dibs on that thread lol

Edit 2- If the May/Pac fight falls through I'd pay good money to see Pac fight Broner. I can't tell you how much I'd love to see Pac beat the living s--- out of that guy.
