Jan 1, 2024 Some of my favorite Em songs ever come from Side B. Those who've been raving for years that Em has been trash since 2010 can go f--- themeselves instead of continuously checking him out just to complain.
Jan 6, 2024 It’s a reissue/ Repckage of a studio album. A Delux edition, Side B of a Lp. Both sides are right. It is an album, but not a full Lp or ep. Many artist do this. It’s just another edition. That’s literally what it is. It’s not that deep
Jan 6, 2024 It is a full LP. It's a sequel. A separate album. Made separately, and as a separate album. Eminem himself said this. Eminem just called Side B to be cute / homage to vinyls and tapes, and to justify packaging it with the first, which is a common label marketing gimmick done lately.
Jan 6, 2024 encore with the bonus tracks and sftl, which is obviously how the artist would view it, you know, as a whole and not just the joke songs he made because you guys leaked the real songs, is better than relapse i’d like to think all that, but tbh he did it this way because he knew it isn’t on par with his other albums and didn’t wanna lose his #1 debut streak
Jan 6, 2024 Just play this for anyone saying Em has been trash since 2010. Top 5 best written song in his catalog
Jan 18, 2024 Further proof is... It's a deluxe version of SIDE B that's sold. Not a deluxe version of Side A. Side B is disc 1. Because it isn't the deluxe of side A. It's a Deluxe of Side B aka the new album they're selling with Side A attached to reboost. Hence why Side A is fkn disc 2.
Jan 19, 2024 Side A & B is a double disc album released in two halves. Probably the best way to release a double disc album. You get to let one sink in before you go to the next . Usually with a double disc it’s a headache trying to get through all the songs, finding ones you like and skipping what you don’t.
Jan 19, 2024 Putting Side B first was obviously to make it easier to get streams for it, since Side A already had streams. Getting streams for Side B is obviously a priority when it is latest release of the two
Jan 19, 2024 MTBMB is one album with two sides. how is it so difficult to understand? the Eminem site doesnt even listed Side B as its own.
Jan 19, 2024 you can't. Because the label give you side A with it. Force you to have side a, so they can boost sales of both. It's called fkn marketing. That doesn't mean it's not an album. If Tarantino released Pulp Fiction on DVD but only with Reservoir Dogs, like a double package - that wouldn't mean Pulp Fiction is not a film would it.
Jan 19, 2024 Then why do all sales count towards Side A when u buy Side B if Side B is the original album or whatever u try to say? about the moviething. Some artists, like MJ have released combined editions of albums.. i dont remember but it might have been Thriller and Bad sold together. But they were also sold separately obviously. If an artists drops a doublealbum, it counts as one album, not two different.
Jan 19, 2024 But it isn't a double album or extra tracks from Side A. Eminem HIMSELF had said he started making new tracks 'and it became it's own album'. So you're disagreeing with the guy who made it, calling it its own album?
Jan 19, 2024 I didnt mean MTBMB was a doublealbum. I meant the moviething u talked about. If they release two movies in one package, it’s two movies. When artists does it, it’s a doublealbum, same album, not two albums like two different movies. So it’s hard to compare. I have actually tried to be humble before in this discussion and said ”both sides of the arguement are right. It depends on the perspective.” It is a new album in the sense that it was all recorded after Side A (i think), and theres enough tracks to fill a whole album. But when they decide to release it as a bonusdisc to Side A, it technically becomes a deluxe, which is written all over the cover, and sales count towards Side A, like it’s only one album. So even if we call it a new album of its own, thats not the way they released it. Eminem can say whatever he want, doesnt change how they released it in the end, whatever his thoughts were during recording. Some people choose the perspective of a deluxe because thats how they released it, some choose to call it a new album because they could just as easily released it on its own, the exact same material.
