@Cyreides is this still happening? If so, I have a submission for this. I have a beat with a 32 bar verse written (haven't recorded yet) but really have no idea where to take it with the hook or the other verse. If another Sxn80 artist wants to jump on with me for the tape I think we could really make something great.

the cover looks great but the kendrick picture kinda makes it seem like a kendrick thing. Maybe if we put more artist pictures in there or something

that was the point tbh

it's our tape for a forum named after one of his albums, it'll get more buzz going than one without him on it

and we have way too many artists that would likely be involved, with most probably not even wanting their face on something like this or out there at all, so that wouldn't really work. i know i'm certainly not putting mine on a cover anytime soon

Well I'd be happy to work with anyone here on music for the tape, I think it's a great idea! On the cover, I like it but I think people will not from the forum will trash it for making it look like a Kendrick project, just my opinion though. @Cyreides how many songs are finished for the tape?

The point of him on the cover is that it'll draw more attention, regardless of whether or not it's a kendrick project. It's already been discussed to death before too, and it was settled on. Probably won't change.

As for the tracks, there's my intro and two others that we had completely done. There were a couple others we were planning to use but we couldn't get them mixed up to par with our standards for the tape. And that has honestly been a big issue with this so far, we set the quality bar pretty high.

since there seems to be renewed interest in this, I just wanted to cover somethings again. so read over the OP and remember what's been said:

only beats/vocals from producers on the forum (including yourself obv.), and you can use any beats you want in the OP.

me and @Winter still get final approval on anything on this tho, so don't expect that just because you submit something it'll be used, we want the best this forum has to offer. that means upholding certain quality standards

I think..you should have 2-3 producers work together on maybe 10-12 different beats, that way the whole tape has one coherent sound.

then when those beats are all finished, they should be posted in a pm with rappers interested in rapping can call dibs. no need in posting the beats so they can all be prematurely heard..
