    Yeah, but Eminem and Dre had a huge impact on his rise to fame, basically Shady/Aftermath was the biggest hip hop label back then. And the beats and instrumentals 50 got were because of them

    50 had a lot of buzz prior to signing with Shady BUT a lot of labels didn't want to touch him because of worrying about the baggage he would bring over the shooting and violence of his records. He would have gotten signed to someone, but he wouldn't have been as big without Em and without Dre beats. He's admitted this himself several times.

    This is true (cc: @HanSolo), I'm not trying to strip their credit completely (I mean, we'd have no in da club if not for dre and em) but 50's always been a self-starter/business man. I have no doubt he'd have rose to the top no matter where he ended up.

    I think he'd be a star but probably not as big. Shady was the perfect situation and climate for him in 03.

    Drake didnt give shine to Joe. Em gave him shine. Joe would say some disrespectful s---.
