Mar 6, 2023 That was good but a little rushed. Would have been perfect to have the mall episode be half as long and include some more of this one. Hopefully the amount of violence was good enough for supersonic Can't believe there's only one episode left. They have a lot of ground to cover
Mar 6, 2023 To me, one thing this show is really good at is making long episodes not feel long at all. They actually feel quite short to me at times even if they’re usually around an hour long. But then if I go to watch other hour long shows, I’m constantly checking to see how much time is left
Mar 7, 2023 The last 3/4 Episodes feel really rushed. Curious how they'll finish the last part of the game in a single 60 minute Episode I am also preparing myself for a Abby Cameo.
Mar 7, 2023 Good episode. David was perfectly casted and played his role, well. Still not buying the actress as Ellie though, her acting is limited and don’t see how it’s going to work in later seasons and time jumps. Glad to see the show being more violent, which it should have been from the start as it’s a key theme in the universe. Got a bad feeling the last episode will be rushed and not hit the mark from an otherwise solid series.
Mar 12, 2023 Just got done watching and idk how to feel about the finale right now. I’m still kinda processing it. I love the show as a whole though. All I know is that I’m sad this is over for now lol. Time to play the game
Mar 12, 2023 yeah kinda the same here. The scenes they did have basically followed the game to a T besides the opening part which was a nice add on. I still think they kind of rushed the episode overall like the last one but it was still really well done. I wasn't sure if they were gonna have him go "Man on Fire" in the hospital but they did and it was as brutal as the game. It will be more interesting to see how they handle next season and if they still follow the games script so close or branch out a bit more
Mar 12, 2023 Not too bad of a finale but pretty underwhelming compared to the game. Clearly rushed and sped through which was always going to be the case. The runtime on lot of the episodes didn’t make sense. The longest episodes were the ones that didn’t need to be so long and the ones that needed to be fleshed out more, were the shortest. Give the series a 8/10 overall, lot of good world building and lore that I liked. Wish they expanded more on that side of things in later episodes as they just basically followed the main story beats in the second half of the season. Cold openings of the flashbacks before the outbreak and Annas scenes were great additions to the show and hope they do more of it, in the second season. I feel like they will just add more infected scenes in the second season as that will be the main criticism of the season but I don’t think they need to, in my opinion and should concentrate more on world building and the different relationships of the characters in season 2. I think the infected being in the background was a good decision.
Mar 12, 2023 I think I’m just most conflicted when it comes to Joel’s decision to lie. At the same time, I probably would’ve done the same thing if I was in his position. That was a really interesting element to introduce to the story. There was also a lot of cool parallels with this episode and the first episode. I think I like the episode, I just gotta give it some time and probably watch it again. This ending definitely caught me off guard so I can appreciate that.
Mar 12, 2023 Yeah, ever since episode 6 I have definitely felt a bit rushed at certain points even without knowing what happens in the game. I imagine it can be hard to nail the pacing sometimes when adapting a video game to a TV show or film
Mar 15, 2023 wrapped it up last night.. this show is d--- near perfect. best show season 1 since westworld? ...I'm struggling to even think of anything that's been this great in recent past.
Mar 15, 2023 One of my favorite shows ever. I’m still debating the ending in my mind. I love that it actually makes you think… every episode does really. I feel like I’ve actually learned things from this story.
