    The biggest rapper on earth grew up wealthy and released Started From The Bottom, if that doesnt tell you something idk what does

    What makes prime Eminem impressive isn't the rhyming itself, it's more about how much he can rhyme without compromising the brilliantly stringed lines that just naturally connect to each other. The reason his flow became choppy as soon as he realized he could get praise for simply rhyming intricately is that he stopped caring about everything else. Back in 1999-2002, he didn't care if you caught his rhymes or not. He'd just challenge himself with rhymes on a personal level while ensuring his music sounded good and wasn't lyrical garbage.

    I bet someone in the near future is gonna embrace it and blow up... since a majority of ppl who listen to rap are actually from the suburbs it's probably more relatable than being from a hood struggling

    I agree but I never cared about being able to relate to music. My favorite rappers are jay and wayne I cant relate to them (mostly) but I still appreciate what they do

    lol I wouldn't generalize like that... being from a middle class suburb myself I would say while you're not in immediate danger of living in poverty/getting shot etc there are definitely lots of challenges, mostly mental/emotional or dealing with familial/society pressure etc... definitely s--- to pull from

    logic is a pretty bad example imo this dude made a whole album about "hey I'm not white! I'm mixed dammit! Pity me! I grew up in the hood too!"

    How many casual listeners even care about being 'real' lol

    Personally I dont either but do most drake fans actually know and/or care where 'he came from' ?

    He was great when he told personal stories and didn't care what people wanted and not act like a serial killer or make corny love/hate songs to fit in

    Deja Vu is a perfect example same as GTC

    There's challenges everywhere but there needs to be a clear line between serious struggle and my parents want me to go to college struggle

    I mean I don't really care about the background if the feeling is there. Hence why I like earl and cudi

    I'm not saying they don't have problems cuz every human on Earth has some problems but it's a much easier life. My mom was in a relationship with someone for a couple years when I was younger and we lived in the suburbs and it was the softest place I've ever seen.

    I guess it just depends what you listen to music for... some ppl just listen for entertainment value and the sound... I have artists who I listen to because I relate on some level with what they say and have helped me thru tough times/motivated me (kendrick, cole, old em etc)... but I also have favorites like wayne, thug, future, etc who I like for different reasons
