i was able to avoid hearing who won and i watched the entire match when they showed it again on ESPN2 :)

to me that was rafa's best comeback ever. nadal was up 4 games to 1 in that second set and he still ended up losing that set. that could have easily deflated him (knowing he had to win 3 sets in a row) for the rest of the match, but instead he kept fighting and somehow pulled it out. i don't know how he did it. but i'm happy for him.

this is devastating for Medvedev. he was in total control of the match, and it ended in disaster for him. it'll probably take a little while for him to get over this

@aleeex1972 Djokovic recently said that he'll miss more majors (or any tournament for that matter) because he's opposed to being vaccinated. i don't have a problem with his decision. he can do what he wants.

but i'm very curious why he feels THIS strongly about not getting vaccinated. i wish i could sit down and talk to him and ask why he feels this way

He just lost to Vesely lol. I feel like Nadal is going to win Roland Garros as well and it will be game over for the slam record, I don't see Djokovic winning 3 in order to surpass Nadal if the Spaniard gets his hands on the RG trophy.

Btw, Daniil Medvedev is the first non-Big-4 player (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray) to take first place in the ATP since February 1, 2004 (Andy Roddick). That's mind blowing when you think about it, only 4 players been ATP no 1 in the last 18 years.

For 921 weeks, only Big-4 members have been world leaders:
    Djokovic - 361 weeks
    Federer - 310 weeks
    Nadal - 209 weeks
    Murray - 41 weeks

yeah, it really shows how dominant those 4 guys have been--especially nadal, federer and djokovic.

the french open will likely be more challenging for nadal this year because he recently suffered an injury.

so apparently ash barty is retiring from tennis. she's only 25 years old. WOW

Shoutout to the longevity of the big three

But the new gen seems promising

Sad to see my girl Raducanu get knocked out. She needs some stability, sacks coaches very regularly.

@aleeex1923 obviously Nadal owns the French open but if I had to bet before this match, I would have put my money on Novak. I just thought he was playing better so far in this tournament.

I watched the entire match and Nadal hit some amazing forehands. Rafa almost ran away with this match until Novak turned things around during the mid-point of the second set.

On the womens side Coco is playing really well. I was surprised how easily she handled Stephens

On the Rafa's game it really was a game of who did less mistakes, that's how it looked like. The number of unforced errors was huge from both sides, but still a great game, great points with some long a--- gamesm loved it.

Been watching tennis since 1998-1999 and my favorite games ever are Nadal - Djokovic australian open final in 2012 and us open final in 2013. Those 2 games are insane.

Also I've saw some Womens tennis games here and there when I did my cardio on the bike lol and saw yesterday the 2nd set from Coco - Stephens, her game looks strong, but still Swiatek on clay its a beast. Also Coco its in the quarter finals in the doubles, her career looks great and she looks like she is in it to make history

I recently came across a channel where a game of tennis was shown and decided to sign up for lessons to learn to play a little. At first I was looking for a sport for a long time, but on https://nicelocal.com/nearme/trainings/ I found a tennis school near me and decided that it was a good option. So I was already in a few lessons and it turned out to be very interesting for me. So I think I'll go there often. Maybe my brother will also want to walk and it will be even more fun

@aleeex1923 both finals winners dominated their opponent. i figured nadal would win, but i definitely didn't think it would be in straight sets. ruud is a top 10 player right now and he's MUCH younger than nadal. the turning point of the match was the second set when ruud was up 3 to 1 and rafa just came storming back and won the set. i knew it was over once that happened.

i didn't get to see iga vs coco but that match didn't last long. iga is on 30 something match winning streak. coco lost bad in the final but she's got nothing to be ashamed of. its a big accomplishment just making it to the final

Never was able to wrap my head around the appeal of tennis...probably because I'm a doughy American slob, just could never get into it...I watched some of these recent finals because you run out of s--- to watch in the hospital...Just sat there in a Dilaudid induced stupor feeling unclassy as f---...
