    Eminem may be a top tier cornball but he's a marketing God. He knows how to sell to the socially awkward white kids and the overly rowdy white kids who swear they'd k--- someone if they had to and are willing to fight anyone even though nobody cares

    If you want a serious answer, it's because he received too much criticism for accents on Relapse that he countered it on Recovery by something completely opposite. There's basically no yelling at all just a year before Recovery.
