Mar 2, 2017 If u talking pre The Eminem Show then there is perhaps an argument that The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP are not Pop albums but the biggest and most successful singles on those albums My Name Is and The Real Slim Shady are big Pop songs But The Eminem Show, Encore, Recovery and The MMLP 2 are Pop albums He wasn't singing on The Slim Shady And The Marshall Mathers LP besides on a few songs. But they are still very commercial albums as he was still doing very catchy hooks even though not singing them. He was rapping about violence on these albums but delivering it in a catchy and cartoonish way. Who else could make music about violence like he did on his first 2 albums but make sound so catchy and sell so many records diamond sales? nobody so I still consider those 2 albums Pop albums to a lot of extent even though they are not as Pop as the albums after He was singing on Relapse

Mar 2, 2017 no sslp amd mmlp aren't pop album, the quality of the mmlp music was such that it went diamond but it wasn't a pop album. recovery is a pop album, mmlp2 is, Eminem show to an extend is too.
Mar 2, 2017 I can respect this post But If u take away My Name is from the SSLP and take away The Real Slim Shady from the MMLP both albums wouldn't have sold the amount they did Both these singles are driven by the really catchy hooks, these 2 songs gained him his fan base These 2 songs were played on non hip-hop radio stations, on TRL and were played on MTV more than any other rappers songs ever
