    From the age old saying "new year, new me" to people begging for 2017 to begin, why do people really believe December 31st to January 1st will magical change something?

    People think a magic spell will occur and all their issues will be erased by 2017 instead of trying to fix them now. Nothing will change unless you want to put your foot out, not because a calendar switched pages

    It's just a fitting time for people to try to make some changes in their life, I don't know? Never been big on it myself but whatever works for people.
