    i just mean apple. like i'm happy chance (presumably) keeps his masters and (presumably) a lot of his publishing, but it's kinda disingenuous when he makes it sound like he's shipping cds from his living room.

    lol touché, would you recommend he even sign at this point tho? he's got more clout than a large majority of rappers that's signed rn

    i almost feel like the apple thing was inevitable in a sense..it's only so indie you can be at his level

    He wouldn't really fit with where the label is going I don't see chance meshing with Migos, tyga, yo gotti, travis or pusha that well

    no i mean the situation clearly is working for him, he's in a good spot. i just feel bad for artists who leave money on the table because they think chance did it.

    Chance's hype came primarily from Acid Rap before the apple deal tho. That tape was huge here in Houston. If they drop a classic mixtape, the music will speak for itself.

    If you mean money to promote Acid Rap, then No. I do think it blew up primarily because he was doing something very unique tho. Even a record label could not escalate someone to the level he is rn
