    i just mean apple. like i'm happy chance (presumably) keeps his masters and (presumably) a lot of his publishing, but it's kinda disingenuous when he makes it sound like he's shipping cds from his living room.

    look at the production credits for acid rap and name one REAL indie rapper who could get those producers on a mixtape while he was still relatively unknown

    I just don't like how he's always saying he's indie. Obviously he's not on a label but being with Apple is far from independent.

    no i mean the situation clearly is working for him, he's in a good spot. i just feel bad for artists who leave money on the table because they think chance did it.
