    And Drake's very relatable in that sense. It's his lane, when he does it well he does it phenomenally, I just think that he has a lot of better songs that accomplish basically the same thing as U With Me.

    okay well here's the thing, u with me paints a protagonist that is self aware in that there is no give and only take in these nothing relationships, but he still feels entitled. he wants the emotional connection, but knows he does nothing to deserve it.

    and then he finds a girl that he actually really likes. the song then shifts to him waking up in paris next to the girl of his dreams (rihanna). and despite his feelings, it's a role reversal. she does to him what he did to every girl he described leading up to this part.

    and then concludes with what really grabs all of his focus in energy in life, which is his career. so we cycle back to the beginning, because despite being aware of his issues with himself, nothing will change because work comes first.

    really, u with me is a great song minus a few bars (happy meals)

    but even the happy meal bar has purpose, using a simile to describe the turmoil in his relationships trivializes the issue in a way. he belittles the relationship as a whole which is the issue, his career is way more important to him than these women :lawd:
