Dec 5, 2016 I honestly see no reason why I would say it at all, or anyone should say it (frequently) for that matter
Dec 5, 2016 White ppl weren't enslaved/killed/forced into poverty while being called "cracker" so it doesn't carry the same weight.
Dec 5, 2016 if you're puerto rican and from new york you get a n----- pass i get one too, @Kenneth passed it to me
Dec 5, 2016 To be fair, it's a bit paradoxical to condemn them for not already knowing the answer and in the same breath condemn them for asking the question in an attempt to find the answer.
Dec 5, 2016 If you aren't from NYC, you'll never get it. It's amazing that for years, Fat Joe saying the n-word still bothers people. This is a common complaint that people from outside of NYC have. First off, he's not the only Latino who says it- Pun said it, Cypress Hill, Beatnuts, Pitbull says it (or used to say it). Latinos and Blacks tend to live in the same neighborhoods in NYC, with some exceptions. There's a lot of intermingling and interaction, much more than with other groups. Not to mention the fact that a lot of Latinos are of some African descent, even someone like Fat Joe who is half Puerto Rican and half Cuban. Fat Joe was also part of a mostly Black Rap group (DITC) and grew up in a rough housing project in the Bronx. He's gotten the cosign before a majority of the people complaining even started listening to Rap music.
Dec 5, 2016 Calling someone a cracker isn't the same as calling someone a n----. The word doesn't hold the same weight. There's 400 years of oppression behind that. If someone called me a cracker, I'd probably just laugh cuz I normally don't get called that.
Dec 5, 2016 they been listening to rap for all these years yea ima condemn them for asking the question they aint new to this it just doesnt make sense to me but suh it go
Dec 5, 2016 tbh the only confusing part about this is does it apply to singing along to lyrics at a concert? i mean sometimes u get caught in the lyrics
Dec 5, 2016 I understand that and completely agree with you, but why do Hispanics get to say it? I was using cracker as an example of a word, I know it doesn't carry nearly the same weight. That was an example, I was not saying that the word doesn't hold the weight. By any means. Im not stupid lol Why?
Dec 5, 2016 there reciting lyrics yes they get a pass at a concert everyone comes together thats why wayne doesnt care about racism
