I used to have a booklet filled of CD's that I bought. I think it held 100 CD's and was full. I kept them in good condition but over the years they would still get scratches causing songs to skip, and eventually to a point where they would start getting CD cancer where a big warped spot would appear and start growing making the CD unusable. Also as a kid I used to spend a s--- load of money on buying singles and then buying an album based off of the single when the rest of the album was trash. I've spent enough I think.

There's still certain artists I'll buy either a CD or digital albums from to support. I also go to a lot of concerts and shell out well over $200 for good seats.

    • Apple Music / Spotify is easier, cheaper, faster, and more convenient.
    • I don't need or want a physical object.
    • There's a fine line between collecting and hoarding.
    • Streaming is the future. Tons of albums are streaming only.
    • My Sonos streams music to both my living room and bedroom at the same time.
    • You're the only one who gives a s--- about your vinyl collection.

Physicals are worth it since you get the highest quality possible.

Plus you get to admire the creativity and theming went into the packaging.

If possible I get vinyl because it's more collectible than a CD which is falling out of favor.
