    I couldn't make it past a minute into that campaign speech. Eminem is a legend but it's over now man. Over. He's in his forties using s--- beats and spitterific rhyme patterns like that's enjoyable to anyone but stans and real rap Hopsin fans.

    Maybe I'm being too hard on Em. But I was let down by that cringefest.

    Pure technical ability? Yes. I assumed "bars" also meant punchlines in which case old Eminem definitely was top 1, but if we take into account his recent stuff he doesn't say anything witty or funny anymore very often.

    I don't value "bars" in rap but Big L had great technical ability and was also consistently funny/clever.

    why the f--- can't this man just rap normal? It f---ing blows my mind how natural he used to sound, and now he's so f---ing awkward.

    actually thinking about this, and putting my stanism aside, in pure bars..technical bars, isnt Eminem a safe top 3 at least?

    where would you put him? he does have a proven recognition that most rappers dont have, he is a battle rap winner

    To be real though I'm gonna listen to his new album regardless just for the hope I get the Eminem that got abandoned somewhere in the mid 2000s. That man is a legend.

    What's weird is how Till I Collapse(first verse) is actually more technically impressive in some regards but is a VASTLY superior piece of work.

    bars means lines that make ur jaw drop , not always punchlines , can be wordplay too and on this freestyle his wordplay is insane , lupe level since 2013 on wordplay

    Also...Eminem has never been nor will he ever be the best at 'bars'. In fact, that has been the weakest part of his career. He avoided them early on, and has wrote cringe garbage bars from 2010-now.

    In reality a more accurate accolade for him would be best at rhyming words together, which he probably is at this point. Fair.

    This entire thread is just a farce, I'm sorry.
