Sep 25, 2016 Every time someone who knows Eminem talks about him, says the same thing: he's a workaholic, always in the studio, doesn't leave the studio, etc. Eminem himself also said that, and stuff like "Imagine if I was online, I'd just sit on my computer all day, there'd be no new music." But what the h--- does he have to show for all his workaholic habits? He releases less material than anyone else. What good does it do being such a workaholic everyone makes him out to be, when he has nothing to show for it? And when he really is working on an album, a workaholic like him, you'd expect something really thought out, structured and carefully arranged to represent a wholesome body of work. But no, MMLP2 wasn't anything like that. Release some mixtapes for Christ's sake, do something with all that alleged material. If you know this batch of songs is not going on an album, release it somehow, just cause. Do something.
Sep 25, 2016 I made basically the same thread https://forum.sectioneighty.com/marshall-mathers-an-emcee.t62873/
Sep 25, 2016 They say he's a perfectionalistic Which he clearly has different definitions of perfect than most of us But I also think he does a lot of behind the scenes work, tho I agree it doesn't seem like he ever works from a fan perspective. Lazy pos lol
Sep 25, 2016 d--- yeah you right, his albums always feel like albums but as of late they definitely haven't been cohesive. MMLP2 and Recovery definitely felt like the songs that were on there should be next to each other but there wasn't enough highlights. Eminem probably has 1000's of songs recorded and some are probably amazing, but what I think happens is he listens to the opinions of his yes men or his friends with average tastes on music and he just releases things oblivious to what the actual fans want. It's funny to think people like Gucci and Future already have way more songs and features than Eminem and even though people won't take their songs about street s--- and partying seriously they have indeed been more consistent by a noticeable distance. Hopefully he stops f---ing around and gives us some energetic beautiful art that he is 100% capable of. I just feel bad for all those stans at this point.
Sep 25, 2016 It's really hard having Eminem as the only artist you listen to. I wish I could branch out.
Sep 25, 2016 Okay okay I'm trying not to lose my s--- rn okay you really testing me I don't wanna get banned again um I'm just gonna be quiet
Sep 25, 2016 The thing is Eminem is a business, he's no like any other artist who can freely release whichever songs they want, when they want. There's a plan for his whole career including after he is dead, all his music is planned for something.
Sep 25, 2016 It is frustrating. Like if you're always working, where's the material and why are we getting mediocre s--- when you actually release something half the time. I really think Proof told him honestly what was dope and what wasn't and played a bigger role than we realize behind the scenes. Without him, he's a little lost as far as knowing what's good or not because no one will be straight up with him. MMLP2 actually had a great start and sounded cohesive the first few tracks up until Survival. Then it turned into a cluster f---.
Sep 25, 2016 I think it's a disadvantage sometimes he made over 200 songs for MMLP2 he definitely left a few gems of the final album especially when Groundhog Day and beautiful pain didn't even make the album
Sep 25, 2016 He's a workaholic but he's also a perfectionist. This is why we don't get much material from him
Sep 25, 2016 I hope this next album is levels above anything from 2009 onwards, he's taken so much time off and say he dropped a classic album, it wouldn't so bad and his long absense from music would be seemingly excused. When he takes so much time off and drops an average-good album, its no wonder some fans get pissed off.
Sep 25, 2016 Over 200 songs were made but Desperation and Survival made the final cut lmao. The other songs must've been seriously s---.
