Reasons for poor mixing?

    Seriously. Not making this in the Eminem section because I don't want to make this just about him. But what is the reason?

    Sure eminems voice changed like @Coco said but on Medicine Man the mixing was great and he sounded a lot better.

    What I don't get is, if people listen to the final version of songs like Phenomenal/Die Alone/k--- For You etc why is nobody in the room saying hey the quality could be so much better. If you compare it to, for example Weekend/Daft Punk new song, how clean it sounds.

    Anyone know a reason?

    it's like no mixing would be better

    f---ing fubba u cubba cubba was better mixed than the s--- he puts out nowadays

    Its becoming more popular to sound distorted because it's art or some s---. Personally I like to hear the vocals but thats not the direction music is going in.

    Well INAD/Die Alone/Phenomenal weren't all mixed by him. And other songs he is on he sounds better (like Medicine Man)

    Alex Da Kid does this a lot don't get how you can like it

    cause dre mixed compton not em i think em isn't as clued up with mixing like dre and steve baughman mixing takes years of practice and knowledge

    Yeah but not all eminem produced songs are like that. Mmlp2 was fine mostly

    Studio time is expensive...I've sat through a giant assortment of Max B & Charles Hamilton tapes so bad mixing doesn't bother me as much.

    He doesn't leave his house so he records in his own home studio, and refuses to send the songs out to be mixed in fear of them being leaked by Koolo, but nobody wants to go to Ems house so he just watches mixing tutorials in YouTube.
