I'm Australian but i remember bein in grade 2 and comin to class in the morning with the teacher holding up the newspaper talking about it. We were young tho i didn't get it

I woke up and seen that s--- on the news, it was surreal. I was in 2nd grade and I had to do my first speech in assembly, Worst day of my childhood life.

d--- yall are young I guess I was 12 when it happened and I remember getting to school and everybody was talking about it and my dad tried explaining it to me after school but I got confused between the terms the twin towers and the World Trade Centre so all day I'm hearing the world Trade Centre was attacked and then I get in dad's car after school and he asks me about the twin towers. I go idk about any twin towers the God d--- trade centre has been attacked!

was like 5 & oblivious to the entire situation at the time but remember it hella clearly in hindsight. i remember my mom putting on the tv & it was like live coverage typa s---. 2nd tower fell on tv, didnt see that myself was busy playing with my toys, but i remember seeing the debris from the fall swallowing the surrounding area. thought it was a tornado or someshit

i live in nyc. was walking to school with my mom and sister, we sat in class for first period and then they made an announcement over the loud speaker of what had happened at about 9:00ish. we all were sent home from there but i didn't really understand the scope of what happened since i was 5.

16 years old, junior in high school.

Was going to chemistry class and they came on the speaker and said a second plane hit. Even though the news shocked us, they still operated class like normal, then they announced a third plane hit the pentagon, and basically they rolled in the TV and we just watched news all day, from class to class. Everyone in my school thought that EVERY plane was a weapon, s--- was scary. I remember watching the news with my parents later and there was rumors of bombs everywhere.

The only event that was as crazy as that was the Boston Marathon bombing.
