Sep 4, 2016 BUT THAT'S WHAT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT. Plus Kanye ain't getting by on just "perceived" persona. He dropped Atleast 3 classic albums, one that is considered one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time, and 1 that set the stone for Drakes entire sound. Eminem hasn't dropped a great/classic album since The Eminem Show. Thats not even debatable. The Eminem Show was fantastic, but ever since he's struggled to release a good body of work. The closest he's gotten to the Eminem I greatly respect, were the highs on Recovery & MMLP2. Now, he's basically a hermit who runs a label no one gives a f--- about, h--- the only artist really doing anything their is Yelawolf, and the poor dudes being dragged down by that s-----y label. Kanye's label has nurtured tons of artists and continues to be one of the strongest labels out today. Money doesn't matter, Eminem is technically a better rapper, but Kanye has a much more cohesive body of work and is much more fun to watch. Eminem is about as fun as watching golf. Says the guy who probably drink Mountain Dew, plays COD and thinks Eminem/Hopsin are "real rap". Keep anything about me outta your mouth.
Sep 4, 2016 Because I listen to both, and their personalities reflect on the credibility of their messages and musical content. Eminem had troubles of living poor white trash with no dad and druggie mom.. This makes me respect his lyrics while talking about life is tough in 'Rock Bottom' Kanye ersonality is trash and ruins his music reputation. He makes music with great vibes and spread positivity and s---, then acts the opposite irl.. which makes me not take his music too sertiously. Or atleast as much as I take Eminem's .. so again, why are u concerned about Eminem's d-ck penetrating women since 1996?
Sep 4, 2016 lp2 is a classic album and that's not even questioned outside of this site i also feel like you guys are glazing over the fact that em writes his own lyrics
Sep 4, 2016 I'm not, I'm just responding to stans who took offence to me calling their idol a virgin. Seems like it's them concerned with his sexual life, not me.
Sep 4, 2016 I think we should mail Genuiess records book to mark Eminem as the first virgin man who has daughter.
Sep 4, 2016 MMLP2 is NOT a classic album. Everyone I know in person was greatly disappointed by it. It doesn't hold a candle to the masterpiece that was MMLP. Their are some great tracks, but it's a mess overall. Recovery was closer to a classic then MMLP2, and that's not a classic. Kanye does write alot of his own lyrics tho. Not all of them, but he makes up for that by being one of the greatest producers. Eminem doesn't just write lyrics, he's OBSESSED with them to the point he's willing to sacrifice Flow and production for it.
Sep 4, 2016 I'm just still perplexed that u just said LP2 is a classic that isn't debated outside of this forum
Sep 4, 2016 Eminem produced the greatest rap song to ever exist: Lose Yourself.. period. And dont act like Eminem by himself writing more imporessive s--- than Kanye and his 40 ghost writers and co-producers doesnt mean s---..... it is RAP : Rhythm and Poetry. not to mention Kanye has overused his 'unique' flow and now it sounds boring. Like 50 and Snoop did.
Sep 4, 2016 No, they listen to tons of different music, something you should consider doing. And so what if they did listen to Young Thug? Listening to an certain artist will not change an album's perceived status. Lemmie say this again, MMLP2 is not a classic. The only album's I can think of this decade that are classic now, are GKMC and MBTDF.
Sep 4, 2016 you don't like when i assume what you listen to yet you do it to me. check out the beatles thread from just yesterday asshat. and lmfao @ mbdtf being a classic and mmlp2 not
Sep 4, 2016 Few figures in hip-hop have changed the game as fundamentally as Marshall Mathers. The Detroit emcee's cutting wordplay and playfully sadistic wit have earned him fans beyond hip-hop’s borders and made him one of the best-selling musicians of all time. The Marshall Mathers LP 2 came charging out of the gate with “Berzerk,” a Rick Rubin–produced track that chopped up the heavy guitars of Billy Squier's “The Stroke,” name-checked Public Enemy, and delivered a flurry of jabs at celebrities. In short: classic Eminem. Combining forces with Rubin and longtime collaborator Dr. Dre, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is gritty, raw, and an appropriately provocative sequel to Eminem's groundbreaking 2000 release.
Sep 4, 2016 This is what I meant by dumbass discussions when artist don't drop something. Who the f--- cares nobody knows them irl so you can't really judge how they are
