Sep 4, 2016 why are you falling for this s--- tier bait op is literally worse than image macros from "Reel Heep Hap" pages
Sep 4, 2016 both have very strong personalities with their goods and bad parts , just giving a serious answer ignoring the obvious troll in op
Sep 4, 2016 There's no "exactly", I didn't prove your point at all. Your argument is a total mess. Let's walk through this 1) You say Kanye is "focus-grouped". This would imply he is doing what is popular just to please the masses, but Yeezus is far from what was being played on the radio in 2013. 2) I point out that Kanye made Yeezus - the opposite of an album for the masses. It was divisive to the public (but one of 2013's most acclaimed albums - so you're clearly factually incorrect about its reputation). If Kanye was "focus-grouped", he wouldn't be making something as difficult as Yeezus. 3) You point out that MMLP 2 has a better user score on Metacritic (lol @ using this as a metric btw). You fail to point out that their difference is only half a point. But if we ignore that and take your point at face value - it doesn't make sense! If Kanye was the "focus-grouped" one who just does what the public wants to see, shouldn't the public like him more? You have no idea what point you're even trying to make. Does Kanye make music that's easily consumed by the public, or is Kanye snubbed by the public? You're absolutely incoherent
Sep 4, 2016 This thread is a---. Kanye is one of the most interesting people to watch cuz he's unpredictable and spontaneous. And of you listen closely, alot of what he says is true. Eminem is one of the most boring people to watch in interviews, Atleast since 2009. He get's asked the same questions cuz interviewers aren't allowed to talk about anything interesting with him. "Yo, _______ is Dope" "You Know What I'm Saying?" "It's a work in progress" He's like a robot now, controlled by Paul Rosenberg. He doesn't show life, like Kanye does.
Sep 4, 2016 @Swizz There's no "exactly", I didn't prove your point at all. you kinda did though because i'm only looking at the bottom line receptions 1) You say Kanye is "focus-grouped". This would imply he is doing what is popular just to please the masses no, it implies he attempts to do so while attempting (and failing) to make it "avant garde" but Yeezus is far from what was being played on the radio in 2013. can't imagine why 2) I point out that Kanye made Yeezus - the opposite of an album for the masses. It was divisive to the public again, not helping your own case (but one of 2013's most acclaimed albums - so you're clearly factually incorrect about its reputation). yea acclaimed like samsung phones are acclaimed with editorials that are bought and paid for before they're written. to the market's lowest common denominator If Kanye was "focus-grouped", he wouldn't be making something as difficult as Yeezus. i hope you don't mean difficult lyrically or sonically. not really sure what you do mean by difficult. the album is lazy especiallly with regard to the criteria with which hiphop is usually judged. and yes he would have. that's exactly what he would do. it was the logical evolution in his career. he always wanted to make an album like yeezus and his standing at the time made it possible. it would almost be noteworthy if the content were coming from him. you almost speak as if he actually has a rhymebook. as if 3) You point out that MMLP 2 has a better user score on Metacritic (lol @ using this as a metric btw). even recovery has a higher score. also your measures of 'acclaim' are valid and mine are not?? do you realize that every person you talk to on this site about yeezus is a member of a site owned by interscope? again shooting yourself in the foot You fail to point out that their difference is only half a point. why would i point that out? what's the difference -how much- better em's cds are. does it really matter? But if we ignore that and take your point at face value - it doesn't make sense! If Kanye was the "focus-grouped" one who just does what the public wants to see, shouldn't the public like him more? no because he has no idea what the average person lives like. unlike em who says it in character to illustrate a point, ye has lost all concept of money. in fact he mocks the public with his "art" more often than not. just because he tries to connect with them doesn't mean he's successful You have no idea what point you're even trying to make. Does Kanye make music that's easily consumed by the public, or is Kanye snubbed by the public? You're absolutely incoherent. tbh this just makes kanye incoherent
Sep 4, 2016 frankly it's ridiculous to compare someone who is almost a billionaire from not giving a f--- about persona with someone who owes fifty something million dollars by (barely) surviving on perceived persona
Sep 4, 2016 Don't bother.. he seems the type of n----- who ranks his top 5 based on their selfie-taking skills. Or most weird dreads, or some stupid f----- up s---.
