Aug 27, 2016 who else do u listen to? i wanna know so u dont contradict yourself if i name my favs and u say they have no substance
Aug 27, 2016 no s--- , everyone does it .... , tell me your top 10 so i can see who you listen too that you keep coming with this
Aug 27, 2016 but substance doesnt make you better subject matter is the most subjective thing that is in rap ....
Aug 27, 2016 Ok here's a few ways to get back into Eminem. You got about 3 options 1) somehow be 14 again. 2) go back in time till your 14 again. 3) step-by-step Start by downloading recovery, then bad meets evil h--- the sequel, MMLP2 and finally shadyxv. (Bonus points for downloading singles hes featured on). Now this is the last and most important step, once you've downloaded the albums, make sure you drag and drop them into the recycle bin for the best listening experience.
Aug 27, 2016 Nowadays I have no desire to listen to his new stuff and I'm easily persuaded to listen to his pre 2004 material. I think it's saying something.
Aug 27, 2016 and i dont guys you have no logic tbh i am trying to be as objective as possible even tho its impossible , you cant be close objective with subject matter at all
Aug 27, 2016 everyone has subject matter , you cant just rap about nothing , its pretty weird kendrick is more "deep" with his s---
Aug 27, 2016 some guys can rap about some abstract s--- like doom does and you will say this guy is garbage , he doesnt say anything .... but he still has subject matter
Aug 27, 2016 well he changed , thats for sure , he aint putting the same heart in his music imo , thats what he lacks the most since imo his mc skills got better over time you can still see he can drop dope songs like evil twin bad guy brainless but he cant make a great album anymore probably the people around him are at fault too , saying yes to everything , like who told him to put stronger than i was on mmlp2 , those yes man are weird af
Aug 27, 2016 This isn't true There are plenty off rappers with "deep" subject matter Listen to more lol
Aug 27, 2016 Kendrick's hardly that deep... bringing to light the struggles of poor African American communities is nothing new tbh and a lot of his subject mattwr has already been touched on by countless rappers from the 90s. And I truly believe there is a bit more to subject matter than being purely subjective. Let's say artist x raps about murdering/raping underage kids. Its objectively bad. Now, say the same rapper raps about sex, drugs, wealth. Completely fine and a lot better than the other subject matter.
