Thread lost all meaning when moved from travis section

Depp was actually pretty good I prefer his more eccentric roles but I understand him doing this kind of role to diversify his catalogue or whatevee

I saw it as a throwback performance. Depp played an FBI agent/fake gangster in Donnie Brasco. That was a great film and I saw it at the movie theater when it came out. I was hoping that with Black Mass, Depp would bring back that gangster edge but like I said before, The Departed was on my mind throughout the whole film. It was loosely based on Whitey but they did a much better job with the story than the Black Mass writers did.
