    These stupid kids always try to discredit him. Looking back, most of the memes about him are so cringe worthy.

    I had to explain/justify Kanye's artistic genius at a pub with the lads once. f--- me, what a conversation. it took me 30 minutes of slurring but i eventually got the point across that even though I think Kanye is a prancing fashionista fa----, he's one of the greatest artists alive atm. Basically I said

    "OK, say you go to the markets and see one of those goobers, doing those speed painting things. You walk up, pay him, tell him what you want. he goes to work and finishes it, barely converses with you and doesn't tell you his name. Afterwards you get your picture and go your separate ways. Since the artist was boring, or offered up nothing of interest about his life. When people ask about this pic you bought you wont have much to say apart from "some dude at market sold me it...."

    But say this artist is actually eccentric and really f---ing weird/vocal and actually has a personality and probably some ego/narcissism problems. While he's doing your painting hes throwing you all these weird life experience he has, he's cracking jokes, not afraid to speak his mind and offend people. Basically he tells you his name and you both get along fairly well even though he was a f---ing cooked c----. When you get his picture and go your separate ways and people ask you about the pic you bought - you're gonna have a story to tell."

    Universally I'd say Kanye just because of his antics. Casuals who have never listened to his music think he's a c---- as do lots of music fans.

    I literally just saw a meme saying "blaming muslims for ISIS is like blaming musicians for Kanye West" he's the first person people think of when it comes to musicians they hate or don't respect.
