New rappers have absolutely no one from the older generation out here helping them. There's a huge disconnect between generations. It's like these OGs demand respect from people they give no s----s about.

Lord Jamar is a miserable, bitter old c---- too. He's constantly hating on the younger generation in his VLADTV interviews (only publication that will give him 2 minutes in front of a camera). Instead of hating, how about you link up with these young'uns and guide them, fool.

Now that I consider it I could totally see Lamont rapping "Step Into da Cipher" in his car.

Vince is far better now than Jamar ever was. The irony about Vince is he actually makes music that caters to what 90s fans claim they want. They're just mad he's not a boring, hyper-reverent person.

Vince is hilarious; he does all this to get a rise out of crusty, humorless old heads. (Although there is, as he would point out, truth at the heart of a lot of his jokes.) lol @ Jamar being an OG though, he was the weak link in a group that made precisely one and a half good albums.

but ya Jamar hasn't got the legacy to back up his attitude. His best claim to fame is guest starring in a sopranos episode. It really hurt him deep down when djvlad made him admit Eminem is a better lyricist than him.

90s were better than 00s but Lord Jamar was a small part of what made the 90s great

Brand Nubian had a few albums in the first half of the decade, Grand Puba was the star of the group, Jamar never had a solo hit, Jamar hasn't been within five miles of a relevant song since like 1996

its okay though because he was just a guest in hip hop, the only reason people pay attention to him is because DJ Vlad couldn't get anyone that actually matters onto his show 3 times a week.
