I mean, sure, none of the beats are better than Panda, but it's clearly not a bad tape. And who cares that these beats are from New Yorkers? A city doesn't own a sound. If these beats came out of Chicago would that all of a sudden not make them "retreads" to you. Are these just retreads because they aren't made by people from Chicago? This isn't the same as a white person with dreads. A city doesn't have permanent dibs on a sound. Music and art wouldn't have gotten anywhere with this mentality. Your stance on this is simply anti-music.

I don't know your pov on the Wayne and Eminem thing, but that's how you, and other future fans are acting. Someone has come out with a song that is getting more hype than any future song ever, and overshadowing him as an artist. That doesn't mean he's not talented.

Again, spare me. Panda hit #1--great for Desiigner. He's a kid and I'm happy for him. "More hype than any Future song ever" is kind of ludicrous; Future has been dropping massive, genre-shifting songs at a dizzying pace for half a decade. He's not just the most influential rapper of the 2010s, he's the most influential rapper of the 2010s by such a huge margin that the most interesting conversation is about who's #2. He's on the cover of conservative-a--- Rolling Stone this month. He's not being "overshadowed" by anyone.

I don't know where you got the impression that I'm someone who becomes a "fan" of an artist to the point where I'm treating rap music like a sport. You're sorely mistaken. Desiigner is young and could find his own voice. So far, he hasn't. So far, he's bitten Future and made a bunch of drill retreads. Maybe he'll do something worth revisiting in the future.

Ok, so you STILL haven't been able to expand on the whole Drill retreads thing. Whatever. Moving on.

Future has had a massive impact on hip hop. But as an artist, Desiigner is overshadowing him right now. Kevin Gates is overshadowing him right now. Future crafted an incredibly unique sound, but other artists have taken it and ran with it, and become superior rappers.

This Desiigner tape is also better than WATTBA.

I've expanded on it ad nauseam: Desiigner doing a bunch of limp drill karaoke in 2016 reads to me exactly the same as wannabe Mello Music dudes rapping over fake-y Premier beats. Drill was very self-contained, street-level subgenre. It wasn't Kid Cudi sitting in his bedroom and messing around with minor key Autotune stuff. Desiigner latching onto it now is unavoidably cheesy. There's no way around this. For you to call that attitude "anti-music" is insane, you need to dial the hyperbole back about eight notches my guy.

Uh I don't see Desiigner with a pages-long list of charting hits, with two consecutive #1 albums, with sold-out arena tours, with legions of imitators. I don't even see him with an identifiable style. So I mean, deal in the real world?

Find me one (1) rapper who has improved on Future's style. (Also, which style? Because has has more than a few.)

First of all, nah. Second, it's awfully telling that Future's put out 15 projects since the top of 2011 and you picked literally the weakest one to compare it to
