Jun 27, 2016 Batman The Animated Series is an American TV show based off the DC hero "Batman" which first aired in 1992, and to this day still holds up quite well. What are your top five favorite episodes? Mine, as of now: 05: On Leather Wings, S1E1 The very first episode aired shows a mysterious creature resembling a bat loose in Gotham City, robbing several pharmaceutical companies. 04: Two Face (Part I & Part II), S1E10, S1,E11 A dramatic two part story which shows D.A. Harvey Dent struggle with his alter ego. After an explosion destroys half his face, he gives in to his other personality. 03: Trial, S2E3 The Joker, Penguin, Harley Quinn, The Mad Hatter, Killer Croc and many more villains take over Arkham Asylum and kidnap Batman and the new district attorney (Janet Van Dorn) whom believes Batman is responsible for creating the villains. Put on trial, Janet must prove that he isn't the cause of them being criminals. I won't spoil the verdict. 02: Heart Of Ice, S1E14 I'm not going to say much other than this is one of the most powerful episodes in the series. Most of the Mr. Freeze story arcs took the back story from this episode. It also won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1993 for "outstanding writing in an animated program" 01: Almost Got 'Im, S1E46 The Joker, Two Face, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc and The Penguin are all sitting around playing cards when they get into an arguement over who came the closest to killing Batman. This episode also contains one of the funniest lines in my opinion. I won't quote it however as it loses its humor when told outside of the episode.
