Jun 16, 2016 This is hard to explain. Kanye West did nothing more than take the Panda Desiigner beat and rap one verse over it; that's why I dislike it.
Jun 16, 2016 First off I would change the beat to make it more somber and gospel like, then I would have Kanye talk about how his father got divorced from his mother and well... there'd be a connection to himself and god at that point. That's just how I'd see the track, Kanye is Kanye and Kanye made Pt. 2 the way he wanted to.
Jun 16, 2016 Basically changing the entire hyped nature of that track? What's the point in adding Desiigner then??
Jun 16, 2016 As much as I dislike Desiigner, Kanye wanted to provide a platform to expose him to the world; on one of the most anticipated albums of all time, it makes sense. But I'm done talking about Pt. 2, 2nd least favorite track has to be Facts (Charlie Heat version), that beat is just awkward and the lyrics don't really fit in to the concept he's going for. I like the original Metro Boomin produced version because it's Kanye's version of Jumpman, it's a fun track that was destined to be a statement of success. This is just, I don't know what Charlie Heat was going for but it really doesn't sound good.
Jun 16, 2016 the most s--- song on the album is probably waves, and even then, i don't have any problems with it
Jun 16, 2016 Interesting... Was it college stations or radio stations in major metropolitan areas? Cause I only heard it on Real 92.3 after TLOP came out.
Jun 16, 2016 it was on hot 97 and power 105.1 in nyc in january. cus i remember hearing that s--- and thinking it was future for a second
Jun 16, 2016 @Fazers d---, I never knew that... I was under the influence that he was this rapper who Kanye just discovered but d---, he was already going to be famous without Kanye. I guess Kanye really gave him a boost.
Jun 16, 2016 I don't see what the issue is with Kanye combining a great hype track with a goat verse... i love it! What makes the beat awkward ? That it changes? Or just the way it sounds? I can see you saying the latter since it does sound kinda quirky and it certainly stands out amongst other beats on TLOP. But on the other hand i don't think it's out of touch with the overall concept of TLOP. For one, it's a bonus track and TLOP sets up this main story but explicitly incorporates many detours during this abstracted theme. And second, since it's about the life of pablo (aka Ye) it shouldn't be that hard to understand why he would talk about his success within fashion.
Jun 16, 2016 yeah, i just went back to double check, obviously the yeezy boost helped, but he released it mid-december of last year basically 2 months before TLOP
Jun 16, 2016 not necessarily s---, but if i have to call one the worst, that would be the one. i still enjoy listening to it haha
