May 31, 2016 Didn't like it. It put me off trying to listen to Future again in 2015 for a few months but I eventually did and thank god for second chances.
May 31, 2016 @YDB I don't quite agree--I think it's a half-step behind Pluto, Beast Mode, and maaaaaybe Monster/56 Nights, though it's probably in a toss-up with those two--but I'm really glad you made this thread. It's a fantastic album, and one that's been done a terrible disservice by this notion that Future was in love and making bad music, then got great when he and Ciara split. Honest has the title track, T-Shirt, Move That Dope, Look Ahead, I Be U, Special, the song with Andre, Covered N Money...it even has s--- as a bonus, which is one of his three or four best songs.
May 31, 2016 Couldnt agree more Before making this thread i actually had no idea that it was this hated/poorly received, im blown away that this many people think its a weak album. Ive always likes his original DS1/astronaut status sound more than the monster/56 nights sound but this is like a hybrid between the two and its amazing.
May 31, 2016 Never used to like Honest, nor gave it a chance, but when I got into future last year I went back and listened, and it blew me away. Same with Pluto. It's not my favorite project by him but it's still great.
May 31, 2016 im with you on this...Honest was a way better album then any other...it was more thought out, alot of good song writing, great production and features...even Future said Honest is ahead of its time...it couldve dropped after EVOL and it would flow well
May 31, 2016 This was another great Future project, it's home to probably one of my 5 favorite songs of this decade (Benz Friends) and a majority of the songs have aged very well. There is a lazy observation from on-lookers/casuals that Future's work "sounds the same" which is so far from the truth; each one of his projects before DS2 have their own profiles and content, Honest is a solid stepping stone in his career and set-up his spectacular mixtape run.
