see that's why i'm not really huge on the concept of reviewing, i feel like trying to look at music objectively/without bias is pointless and the only thing that matters is how much enjoyment you get out of it. But to each their own i guess

i feel like we need more emphasis on the jeremih renegade on that outro too.

top 3 songs for me are: no problem, summer friends, and angels

^That's a good point in many respects: they're not the same thing, and if you determine that Coloring Book is about triumph, that's a fair critique of my review. I don't think Chance's writing really delineates between the two, but that's just my opinion.

Really great read. I don't agree with all of it (I slightly prefer this to Acid Rap and am okay with the music being mostly all upbeat and happy because I can find enough of the other type of music in other places), but it's always great to hear your thoughts on new releases. Just curious, do you think this project is an overall stronger project than TLOP or no? @WPG

Yeah, I actually agree with your review. It doesn't bother me as much as it does to you, though. I just got done reading and saw that on twitter. You guys know each other?

yachty's verse and same drugs are probably both strong points for me but summer friends prolly counts as a bit of a snoozer for me

This is like exactly how I feel about the album I just didn't know it. Couldn't get the right words. But bland is a good one. To Bible thumpery for me at times. Liked Smoke Break. Didn't live up to Acid Raps legacy tbh.

The hooks aren't as good in here tbh. Can't beat CCBK, Smoke Again,. Chain Smoker, etc.
