Apr 16, 2016 I agree with Wayne having some good projects but no classics. Hip Hop was in a weak period when he was the most popular. I did like his recent project with 2 chainz. Smell like money was one of my favorite Wayne verses in a few years. Carter 3 was as close as he got to a classic album.
Apr 16, 2016 Eminem deserves a spot in the top 10 more than Wayne. Better rapper and less bad projects.
Apr 16, 2016 Relapse is better than any Lil wayne project and its not even a top 3 album in eminem's discography.
Apr 17, 2016 Same, HATED Lil Wayne during 2008. Never listened to Carter 3, thought that Amilli track was annoying as s---. He' not that bad though after viewing his music though. I could see why people liked him.
Apr 17, 2016 Who the f--- put's Wayne in a top 10 list? I haven't even seen him on a list since around the time he dropped C3.
Apr 17, 2016 wayne aint a bad rapper, but i cant handle his annoying a--- voice. this is why i dont listen to him
Apr 18, 2016 lol wayne has a HUGE quality control issue. some of my esteemed fellow posters overrating rappers they came of age following. @Narsh - per usual - dickriding paul
Apr 18, 2016 Coz he was ahead of his time and had a completely different sound to what else was going on in hip hop at the time.
Apr 18, 2016 Like what most of us have said on this thread, certain audiences just like to go against the grain and blindly hate what is popular and at the time Wayne was that guy getting notable coverage and airplay. Another part of that hatred came with his image I've seen people hate how he looked like instead of talking about the music, I still remember how much vitriol he got just off the picture of him and Birdman kissing. Then there's his work which idk how people didn't like considering he was very imaginative and colorful, no one sounded like Wayne at the time.
